We Started America's Link
Having a presence on the Internet has evolved from something "nice to
have" to an essential tool to compete in today’s economy. Over thirty
million small businesses will have e-business sites by 2009. Consumers
have turned to the Internet in droves to purchase goods and services and
search for information. Consumers are spending an estimated $20 billion
online today, and that number is expected to grow to over $400 billion
in the next two years. Parallel with this evolution is the tremendous
growth of small business professionals working independently and companies
with less than 100 employees.
We started with a vision to empower small businesses to easily have a
professional web presence, and be able to keep up with the rapidly changing
Internet. We sought to remove the barriers of web site development costs,
complicated software, lack of time and web marketing knowledge for small
businesses to participate in this economic boom. We adopted a guiding
philosophy about our customers: Small business owners are entrepreneurs
whose skills are tied to managing their businesses and making things happen.
We’re an industry leader today because we maintain our original philosophy
and vision by bundling the latest Internet technology in a form that is
practical for business, easy to use and creates success for our customers.
After extensive research, America's Link began development
in early 1995 and was made available to the public in April 1996. America's
Link was built upon the guiding principals of saving customers time and
money while empowering them with knowledge of the fundamentals of advertising
via the Web. Today, America's Link is one of the Internet’s leaders in
small business customer communication, marketing and commerce.
